The Powerdrive IDS control system starts with an ergonomic design, which allows precise steering and power input to your kite. Secondly by adding the new Recoil system to the internalised IDS landing line Cabrinha have reduced the external clutter often found on other bars. THe final result is a streamlined and user friendly control system that works well for both the first time kiter and the seasoned pro.
Recoil -
Recoil is a spring loaded function which always keeps the bugee trim adjuster contained and within easy reach, making it the cleanest trim system on the market. With Recoil there is never a loose adjustment tail as seeen with most above or below the bar trim systems.
The Recoil spring alwyas returns the bungeed trim adjusters to their proper place along the depower mainline even after the kite has been fully depowered by the control bar. When you return the bar to the powered position, the bungee trim adjusters automatically reset themselves to a place within easy reach.
Recoil also provides adequate resistance to momentarily unspin the bar to unwind the lines.
Recoil although at firat glance looks unweildy, on use its unsurpassed and solves all the issues with the earlier bars.
Safety and Simplicity -
The Intelligent Depower System (IDS) provides and amazing level of control with minimum rider effort and input. IDS is a simplified bridle and contorl system exclusive to Cabrinha. IDS produces virtually no bar pressure while delivering precise control of the steering and power of your kite.
IDS is so intuative thats it provides 2 stages of depower. Interactive depower on demand while riding, and a stage 2 Depower method to land your kite. Stage 2 depower functions similar to a 5th line system, but without the complexity of the 5th line.
Cabrinha's IDS equipped kites use only 4 lines for a simple, uncluttered method of control and security. Additionally, the IDS bridle maintains all of the instant relaunch functionality that Cabrinha kites are famous for.
Bar Ends -
Cabrinha have lowered the profile of the EVA floating bar ends. By lowering the bar ends Cabrinha have better aligned the line winders with the bar. This makes the winders more secure when winding the line onto them.
The EVA bar ends now have flex tips, the flex tips alow the lower half of the bar to remain firm when winding the line onto the bar, but also flex to make turning of the kite easie and more precise.
New Kite lines -
Cabrinha have this year changed lines to a monofilament wound Dyneema line. These high strength lines are not only low stretch and durable, but are also easier to manage when setting the kite up.
